iCut is our new patented pipe cutting system that completely redefines the standard for high-quality pipe cutting. What differs from conventional pipe cutting systems is the absence of the planetary blade.
The heated blade moves along the axes through an independent mechanism powered by servomotors.

The advanced software allows iCut to simplify the whole process and makes it suitable to cut not only smooth or corrugated PVC, PE, PP pipes, but also profile geometries such as ovals, ellipses, rectangles, and irregular shapes.

Hot Blade Guillotines

for plastic profiles

Baruffaldi’s latest generation hot blade guillotine is the patented transversal cutting system with heated blade. It is well known all over the world thanks to its quality and high-tech performance that does not melt the profile during the cut, so it does not deform it; also, there are no burnt residues left on the blade. The unit is designed and optimised for precision transversal and multiple cutting of plastic profiles in both directions, such as cable ducts, window profiles and panels, with no burrs or dust. It is capable of multiple cuts or dual strand cutting. The device is available in a pneumatic or servo-aided version and guarantees a cut tolerance of about ± 0.3 mm.

Depending on minimum cut length, extrusion speed and cutting tolerance required by the customer, they can be supplied with three different movements of the carriage. The pneumatic unit (TG.G-PP-HB version), the servo-aided unit (TG.G-PD-HB version) with a new concept linear brushless motor that guarantees high energy savings of over 3000 Euro every 8000 hours of production, and finally it is possible to have the guillotine that moves its blade by means of a brushless motor (TG.G-DP-HB).

The heated blade cuts large-sized thick profiles. The special temperature regulator heats the blade to the optimum level to guarantee the same quality of cut on all profile thicknesses.

Another important feature concerns the movement of the blade, which can be adjusted automatically by a brushless motor according to the thickness and dimension of the profile.
The unit is customizable according to the geometry of the profiles that can reach 250 mm in height and 600 mm in width.

Cold Blade Guillotines

for plastic profiles

TG.G-CB

Baruffaldi’s patented cold blade cutting guillotines are designed for profiles of small dimensions and reduced thickness, and are available in in-line and off-line versions, depending on the type of application required.

These units are designed to efficiently cut profiles extruded also in more than one strand, as well as for multiple cuts. They stand out for their horizontal cutting system, which prevents any profile deformation and guarantees a high standard in the quality of the cut.

Our guillotines are available in the different versions: they can be pneumatic (TG.G-PP-CB), pneumatic/ servo-aided (TG.G-PD-CB or TG.G-DP-CB), or completely servo-driven, for an extremely precise cut, with up to ± 0,5 mm tolerance, at a high speed.

Our internal technical office can customize the various guillotine cutting units based on the specific production needs and customers’ requirements.

Thanks to their modularity and compact size of our guillotines it is possible to fit the stand-alone machine in an existing extrusion line, or fix the mere cutting assembly onto the saw machine frame.

Cutting Saws

for plastic profiles

To meet the various production needs of the market, we have designed and manufactured various types of cutting saws, which stand out for their sturdiness and attention to construction details.

They are available in different sizes and with carriage operated pneumatically or with servomotor. They guarantee continuous process reliability, versatility of use and adaptability to the customer’s specific production needs.

The frame is made of electro-welded pressed steel and si panelled in the lower part, whereas the upper part is closed off with accident-prevention safety guards.

All our cutting saws are equipped with adjustable feet, to adapt the machine to the height of the extrusion axis, pneumatic clamps, external aspirator and encoder.

The soundproof frame guarantees low noise levels and reduction of acoustic emissions for a safe and healthy working environment.

All Baruffaldi cutting saws are equipped with a swarf suction system to guarantee a clean working environment and no dust on the final product.

In-line Slitting Machines

for foam PVC

 

This type of machine applies state-of-the-art technology to the longitudinal cutting, of PVC foam boards, extruded in single or dual strand, honeycomb rigid PVC panels and flat “sandwich” plastic panels in general, directly in the extrusion line, without making any dust or swarf.

The units for the longitudinal cut (SM/L versions for cutting thickness up to 10 mm or up to 25 mm) and transversal cut (SM/T version), can be used individually or even in combination with each other, depending on the production requirements.

In-line cutting occurs at a high speed, which reaches up to 8 m/min. Moreover, thanks to the pneumatic adjustment of the blade in height, it is possible to quickly adapt the machine setting to the extruded product.

Advantages
Longitudinal Slitting Machines: SM/L

Available in versions with one, two or three cutting heads, they allow longitudinally cutting of 1500 mm wide panels. The position of the cut assembly can be set according to the desired width by means of a manual or motorized (optional) adjustment of the heads.

This technology is particularly suitable for cutting PVC foam boards, extruded in single or dual strand, rigid PVC honeycomb profiles and even “sandwich” type plastic panels, without making any dust or swarf.

Transversal Slitting Machine: SM/T

The version for transversal cutting, the SM/T, suited to the in-line cutting of ceiling and wall cladding panels, extruded in single or dual strand, or honeycomb panels, and has a working range of up to 850 mm in the (standard version). The blade rotation is motor-driven, to guarantee an efficient cutting process.

In both versions, there is the option of fitting an electrical heater to preheat the panel to facilitate cutting and optimise machine performance. The frame made of painted, electro-welded box section steel, the structures supporting the moving parts in anodised aluminium and the parts in contact with the profile in stainless steel all makes this a top-quality machine.

In-line Modular Punching
and Cutting Machines for plastic profiles

PBC: PunzoBlockCut for Roller Shutters

For the PVC roller shutter industry we have designed and manufactured this compact machine, which is equipped with three modular units to punch, interlock and cut roller shutter profiles.

Our current PunzoBlockCut represents the technological evolution of our previous unit which we have already sold with success all over the world and meets the increasing demand of the leading industry of this sector for production plant flexibility and profile changeover time optimization.

It incorporates our latest project solutions, among which is our patented guillotine cutting unit and the interlocking unit with the notch or the pin system.

Both single and dual strand versions can easily be integrated into existing extrusion lines and also completed at a later stage with our assembly units, to obtain a complete automatic Combiroll-type roller shutter machine.

Moreover, the PunzoBlockCut is also available in a pneumatic version for a process speed up 6 m/min and in the version with brushless motors for a speed up to 12 m/min.

PC: PunzoCut for the Automotive Industry and Technical Profiles

This compact machine has been specifically designed to punch and cut co-extruded technical profiles at a high extrusion speed.
In order to guarantee the process reliability required by this specific market in terms of speed, precision and quality, the machine is equipped with an external photocell support frame and a special servo-aided haul-off, to feed the profile intermittently without damaging the profile surface, but at the same time with high process precision thanks to the brushless motor.
Punching and cutting tool sets are made of a special steel adequately treated to guarantee a long life.

Available for in-line or off-line application. In the second case, the machine is provided with a feed-in table and a pull-out unit.
